Festival Dates (2021-2022)

Wild Wave Festival of Lights is more than just a family-oriented event; it’s a spectacular experience that everyone should try. You can visit the Toyland, make holiday crafts, write a letter to Sana Claus, and even play in the falling snow tent. All these activities are even made more magical through the light exhibition.

The official festival dates for 2021-2022 are not yet announced to avoid misconceptions. The ongoing global health crisis causes minimal to average changes in the festival operations. The dates are expected to last only for few days, unlike before that visitors of all ages can enjoy the light festival for months.

How to Get There

Visiting Wild Waves Theme Park is never complete without experiencing the twinkle light show. You will get stunned by how a million lights transformed a place into a magical and beautiful one.

The festival of light takes place in Wild Waves Theme Park, located at 36201 Enchanted Pkwy, Federal Way 9800 Washington. The festival venue is easy to access. Check out the directions below:

Bus Route 

If you prefer riding a bus to reach the theme park, you can take the Enchanted Parkway S. stop and the King County Metro Bus Route 4o02. Next is to take Milton Road and you will reach the main parking lot. Then, it’s time to enter the park via the main turnstiles.

From Pacific Highway South 

In this route, you need to take the Pacific Highway South before turning on the 348th. First, you need to reach the Enchanted Parkway South stoplight and then turn right. Ensure to go about one mile. After crossing a freeway over-pass, you need to turn right at the first light and keep going on the main parking lot.

From I-405

If you are from I-405, take I-405 Southbound to I-5. Ensure to follow the directions for either South or North I-5 carefully.

From South or North I-5

First, you need to take exit 142-B. After following the exit to the right, you have to get in the left lane. Next is to turn left at the first stoplight.

After reaching about one mile, ensure to turn left once you see the first light after crossing a freeway over-pass. Then, proceed down to the main parking lot.

From Pacific Highway North 

If you are traveling Northbound, turn right on 348th. After reaching the first stoplight, turn right. Once you go about one mile, turn right at the first light after crossing a freeway over-pass. Then, continue traveling to the main parking lot.

From Highway 18

You can take Highway 18 Federal Way to reach the Enchanted Parkway South. Turn left the first light you see. Go about one mile after turning right at the light once you cross a freeway over-pass. Then, proceed down the main parking lot.

From Puyallup

First, you need to reach the Meridian towards Federal Way by going North. After three miles and passing Surprise Lake, proceed to the stoplight. Then, turn left onto Milton Road. Lastly, proceed down the main parking lot.

Festival Hours

Wild Waves Festival of Lights is one of the much-awaited events every year in Federal Way, WA.

The event aims to fill your sense with sounds, flavors, and a seasonal sight to create a tradition and exciting activity for families to enjoy the entire holiday season even more.

The festival hours commonly take place from 5 PM to 10 PM. These are the ideal time to start exploring the theme park, and as the night goes darker, you can see the beautiful lights even more.

How Much It Cost to Visit the Festival

The Wild Waves Theme Park offers different ticket types: Season pass, Single-day Tickets, and Groups.

Season Pass

If you are a 2020 Season pass holder, the ticket is automatically transferred into the 2021 Premium Season Pass.

Single-day Tickets 

Save time once you purchase a single-day ticket in advance. You can get it three days in advance. Choose whether to save it on your phone or print it online. You can get the single-day ticket for only $42.99, while the 3-day advance ticket is worth $39.99. If the visitor is 65+ years old or under 48”, the ticket is only $26.99.

Groups

You can visit the theme park with groups of 15+ and enjoy special discounts and catering for company picnics, school trips, family reunions, happy hours, and more.

Weather and What to Wear

The coolest season in Federal Way, Washington, lasts for 3.7 months (November 12 to March 2). Then, the average daily high temperature is below 52˚F. January 1 is the year’s coolest day, with as high as 45˚F and low as 37˚F.

If you want to visit Wild Waves for a light festival, ensure to wear fine and breathable clothes during the daytime. Exploring the theme park during nighttime requires you to wear jackets and boots.
